- Revenue from operations for Q4 FY2020-21 stood at Rs 5,322 crore

TVS Motor Company has recorded the highest ever profit in a quarter with revenue from operations growing by 53 per cent. The profit stood at Rs 5,322 crore for the quarter under review as against Rs 3,481 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of 2019-20.
During the financial year 2020-21, revenue from operations witnessed a two per cent growth, rising from Rs 16,423 crore to Rs 16,751 crore. The company achieved the numbers despite the COVID-19 related lockdown during the first quarter of 2020-21.
The two-wheeler sales in the domestic market grew by 41 per cent while exports witnessed a 74 per cent jump as compared to industry growth of 24 per cent and 33 per cent respectively during the fourth quarter of 2020-21. The Hosur-based brand crossed the one lakh unit milestone for two-wheelers in international business for the first time in March 2021.
The overall two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales including exports saw a 47 per cent growth, rising from 6.33 lakh units in Q4 of 2019-20 to 9.28 lakh units in the quarter ended March 2021. Motorcycle sales grew from 2.80 lakh units in the quarter ended March 2020 to 4.31 lakh units in the quarter ended March 2021, registering a growth of 54 per cent. Scooter sales for the quarter ended March 2021 grew by 78 per cent and stood at 2.98 lakh units against 1.67 lakh units in the fourth quarter of 2019-2020.
The company’s total export of two-wheelers and three-wheelers registered a growth of 58 per cent at 3.22 lakh units in the quarter under review as against 2.04 lakh units in the quarter ended March 2020. Three-wheeler sales for the quarter under review is 0.41 lakh units as against 0.43 lakh units during fourth quarter of 2019-20.
