- Overall sales grew by six per cent

TVS Motor Company has reported its sales data for the month of September 2021. The Hosur-based manufacturer recorded a growth of six per cent in year-on-year sales (two-wheelers and three-wheelers), selling 3,47,156 units in September 2021 as against 3,27,692 units in the corresponding month last year.
The total two-wheeler sales grew by six per cent, rising from 3,13,332 units in September 2020 to 3,32,511 units in September 2021. The domestic two-wheeler sales for September 2021 stood at 2,44,084 units as against 2,41,762 units in September 2020. The company expects to see significant improvement in sales during the festive season.
Motorcycle sales grew by 19 per cent during the month, rising from 1,39,698 units in September 2020 to 1,66,046 units in September 2021. The scooter sales, on the other hand, witnessed an insignificant rise in year-on-year numbers. The company sold 1,04,091 scooters in September 2021 against of 1,03,877 units in the same period last year.
The total exports grew by 20 per cent. The company exported 1,02,259 units in September 2021 against 85,163 units in September 2020.
