- Domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 130 per cent
- Scooter sales grew by 206 per cent
- Exports witnessed 138 per cent jump
TVS Motor Company has reported its sales data for March 2021, registering a total growth of 123 per cent over the corresponding month last year. The company sold 3,22,683 units in March 2021 as against 1,44,739 units in March 2020.
The total two-wheeler sales grew by 130 per cent. The company sold 3,07,437 two-wheelers in March 2021 as against 1,33,988 units in March last year. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew from 94,103 units in March 2020 to 2,02,155 units in March this year, registering a growth of 115 per cent.
Motorcycle sales grew by 136 per cent (1,57,294 units in March 2021 vs. 66,673 units in March 2020) while scooters witnessed a 206 per cent (104,513 units in March 2021 vs. 34,191 units in March 2020) jump in the numbers.
The overall exports, too, saw a positive growth of 138 per cent, jumping from 50,197 units March 2020 to 1,19,422 units in March 2021. Two-wheeler exports stood at 105,282 units in March 2021 as against 39,885 units in March last year. The company said in its press announcement that an increase in motorcycle sales in key international markets contributed to this achievement.
