TVS Motor Company has reported its revenue data for the second quarter of FY2021-22. The company registered the highest ever revenue of Rs 5,619 crore in Q2 FY2021-22 as against Rs 4,605 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year, registering a growth of 22 per cent.
The Hosur-based manufacturer also posted its highest-ever Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) of Rs 562 crore as against Rs 430 crore during the quarter ended September last year 2020.
The total two-wheeler sales stood at 8.70 lakh units during Q2 FY2021-22 as against 8.34 lakh units in the second quarter of FY2020-21. The two-wheeler exports grew by 46 per cent compared to Q2 of the last financial year. The overall motorcycle sales stood at 4.39 lakh units in Q2 FY2021-22 as against 3.66 lakh units during the corresponding period last year. The scooter sales were reported at 2.66 lakh units during the recently concluded quarter as against 2.70 lakh units in the quarter ended September 2020.
During the quarter, the company launched products like the new Raider 125, Apache RR310 Built To Order (BTO), and the Ntorq 125 Race XP in the Indian market.
