- Ninth consecutive win with its TVS Apache-based race bike
- Fourth consecutive title for TVS in the scooter class
The Petronas TVS Racing team has been making its mark time and again in the Indian motorsport scene. The recent outstanding feat achieved by TVS’ factory racing team is its victory in three different race categories of the recently concluded Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) 2023. Notably, this was the team’s ninth consecutive win at the INRC with its TVS Apache-based race motorcycles.
In the Group A Foreign Open Class 450cc, TVS’ Abdul Wahid Tanveer clinched the top spot astride the thoroughbred TR 450R rally machine. In the smaller displacement category, Imran Pasha emerged victorious in the Group B Indian Experts Class 260cc on the TR 200R. This bike is powered by a heavily revised version of the Apache RTR 200 4V’s engine while the cycle parts are completely different and off-road-focused.
TVS’ race scooter also shone brightly in the national championship once again. Racer Shamim rode the TVS Ntorq 125-based TR SXR 125R race-prep machine in the Scooter Class up to 210cc and outpaced all his competitors in the championship. Notably, this was TVS’ fourth consecutive win in the scooter class of INRC.
