- TVS sold total of 2.58 lakh two-wheelers in December
- Exports grows by 39 per cent
- Will launch a bigger Apache in India soon
TVS Motor Company has recorded a 13 per cent growth in India for December 2020 with a sale of 1.76 lakh motorcycles and scooters.
In comparison, the Chennai-based company sold 1.57 lakh two-wheelers in the same period in 2019. On the other hand, exports contributed to 81,327 units in December 2020, witnessing a 39 per cent growth as compared to December 2019 wherein TVS exported 58,375 two-wheelers.
Out of this number, TVS’s motorcycle sales increased by 27 per cent with 1.19 lakh units sold in December last year. Meanwhile, the scooter sales with the Jupiter and Ntorq 125 being the biggest contributors, registered a sale of 77,705 units as compared to the 74,716 units in December 2019.
TVS recently launched the Apache RTR 160 4V with Bluetooth connectivity in Bangladesh recently. It is also likely to launch up to four new products in 2021.
