TVS Motor Company has announced its sales report for the month of May 2019. The company has registered a total sales figure of 2,94,326 units in May 2019 as compared to 2,46,231 units in May 2018.
In the domestic market, the total sales figure stood at 2,36,807 units in May 2019 compared to 2,46,231 units for the corresponding month last year. In terms of growth, motorcycles witnessed a 13 per cent hike registering a total sale of 1,26,711 units as compared to 1,42,787 units for the considered month. As for scooters, the company reported a growth of 2 per cent with a total sale of 98,202 units in May 2019 against 95,879 units in May 2018.
In the case of two-wheeler exports, the company reported a positive growth of 11 per cent by registering 57,519 units in the month of May 2019 as compared to 51,904 units in May 2018.
In the company’s current two-wheeler portfolio, the NTorq 125 has been racking up big numbers for the brand. In the month of April, the scooter registered a hike a 70 per cent registering a sale of 20,684 units as compared to 12,145 units last year. Meanwhile, the Jupiter continues to be the second highest selling scooter in the country.
