- Norton V4CR Café Racer unveiled
- Powered by 185bhp V4 engine
- India launch unlikely
TVS has pulled the wraps of one extremely premium motorcycle at the 2024 Bharat Expo. The bike in question is the Norton V4CR Café Racer.
This is the first time TVS brought this motorcycle to India since its acquisition of the company a few years ago. The brand wanted to introduce this premium brand to India and showcasing at the Bharat Expo made a lot of sense. However, the company has no plans to launch the V4CR Café Racer in India as there’s barely any market for such niche motorcycles.
The V4CR Café Racer uses a big 1200cc V4 engine which makes 185bhp and 125Nm of peak torque. There are a lot of high-quality components like the Ohlins suspension and a lot of electronics, fitted on this motorcycle. While the overall styling is something that may not be accepted by a lot of Indian buyers, it does give out a good road presence.
TVS has big plans to expand its premium base with the Norton brand. Rumours are suggesting the Indian company is working on a range of Norton motorcycles that will be sold in India as well as in international markets. In fact, there’s a high chance TVS would end up making some of these bikes at their Hosur plant.
