- TVS plans to clear existing Norton bookings
- 300 bikes were booked before company went into administration
- Company sold 400 bikes last year
It has just been a few days since the TVS acquired Norton Motorcycles and the company has already put up a new strategy in place. The Hosur-based company is working on a plan to deliver Norton motorcycles to the customers who have made the deposits.
According to the company, Norton Motorcycles had around 400 bookings for its bike before it went into administration. The bookings were made for the Commando, Dominator and the V4 models. The company plans to first get the production line ready, so that it can start manufacturing the bikes. However, this development is likely to see some delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Norton sold a total of 400 bikes last year. But with the new owner, the British brand wants to bring in more sales numbers. However, it won’t get into the volume business as Norton is a premium brand and it will stay that way through exclusivity.
