Every year, for the last eight years, TVS has been conducting Young Media Race Program (YMRP). This program helps young journalists experience the world of racing.
In the eighth edition, a total of 39 journalists and influencers participated. As part of a one-day workshop, the participants are taught level one of racing, which includes learning the race track along with various signs and warnings. The trainers also talked about various racing aspects like throttle control, braking and overall body posture.
Post the training, all the 39 riders were given enough track time to practice, followed by a free practice. Once that was out of the way, each riders were given 15 minutes to set the fastest time. Based on this time, a total of 16 racers were selected, who will race in the media category of TVS One Make Championship on the race-spec RTR 200. BikeWale got selected in the top 16 and is looking forward to the first race which is likely to happen next month.
