- Norton V4SV unveiled
- Gets revised engine
- Unlikely to be launched in India
TVS Motor Company bought out British motorcycle manufacturer, Norton Motorcycles earlier this year. And it had planned to fix the issues original Norton V4 owners faced. However, with the troubles running too deep, the decision was made not to repair the bikes, and instead develop a new one. And the all-new Norton V4SV is the result.
The motorcycle completely replaces the V4SS but gets the same elements as before- styling similar to the previous model and a handmade, aluminum tube frame. Even the Brembo monoblocs and Ohlins suspension remain unchanged. And while the 1200cc, V4 engine looks the same too, Norton has revised the tune with the engine now churning out 185bhp instead of 200bhp. The torque figures too have witnessed a drop but come in 1000rpm earlier in the rev band.
As for features and tech, the Norton V4SV continues to comes with keyless ignition, a 6-inch TFT display and a rear-facing camera as well. Norton will be offering the motorcycle in two colours- Manx Silver with red and black pinstripes and red OZ wheels as well as a full carbon fibre finish with carbon-fibre BST wheels. While there is no word about its international pricing and availability yet, it is unlikely to be launched in India anytime soon. And even it is introduced, the Norton V4SV will be available in limited numbers here.
