- Norton V4CR makes global debut
- Based on Norton V4SV
- Production model to follow soon
TVS Motor Company took over the reins of UK-based motorcycle manufacturer Norton a few months ago. And now for the first time since the takeover, Norton Motorcycles has unveiled an entirely new model called the V4 Cafe Racer.
The motorcycle, as its name suggests, is a cafe racer and is based on the Norton V4SV. It will come powered by the same 1200cc V4 engine that is capable of producing a mouth-watering 185bhp, putting it on par with other super-naked motorcycles.
Although it is based on the V4SV, the Cafe Racer has a shorter sub-frame and offers a more aggressive stance to complete its naked motorcycle character. Moreover, the motorcycle is also adorned with carbon fiber on the fuel tank and panel while the frame and swingarm are built out of billet aluminum. While final details are unknown, the prototype sports Brembo Stylema calipers at the front, Ohlins rear suspension, wheels from OZ and a 6-inch colour TFT screen.
The V4CR will be engineered and built at Norton’s new headquarters at Solihull, UK. Also, there is only one prototype unveiled for now, although we can expect Norton to offer more specs, like other manufacturers.
