- Sports conventional scooter styling for easy acceptance from buyers when launched
- Expected to arrive in the market this year
- Will be offered with two batteries, in which, one will be removable
Twenty Two Motors electric scooter Flow was spied for the first time on the road. The e-scooter was spotted in Delhi NCR in its full avatar without any camouflage hiding details of the e-scooter.
We suspect the e-scooter was undergoing tests for the battery swap feature that was announced during the company’s tie-up with Kymco, a Taiwanese two-wheeler manufacturer last year. The ‘Ionex’ battery swap technology allows the user to easily exchange the battery with another one from a charging station thus avoiding the need to charge the battery once it drains out. The company also has a cloud-based operating system that will be linked to the vehicles, batteries and charging stations thus creating a grid for seamless connection between them.
(Please note: The test rider seen in the spied image is practicing unsafe riding techniques which are advised to not be followed)
Sporting a conventional scooter design for easy acceptance in the market, the Flow comes with some unique features like riding modes, LED lights, IP65 water and dust protection, advanced telematics and a Bluetooth integrated instrument console. Besides that, the e-scooter sports telescopic forks up front and twin shock absorbers at the back. Braking is done with a disc setup at both ends with a combined braking system.
The company had planned to introduce the Ionex battery pack equipped Flow scooter by January 2019. While the month has already passed, we hope Twenty Two Motors will introduce the scooter later this year. In terms of price, as per the company, the Flow will carry the same sticker price of Rs 74,740 (ex-showroom) when it was first launched at the 2019 Auto Expo in Delhi. Once launched, the Flow will compete against the Ather e-scooters and the Okinawa i-Praise.
