- Lexmoto RSS Street 125 unveiled in the UK
- Gets a colour TFT screen
- Unlikely to enter India anytime soon
Lexmoto, a UK-based brand which specialises in small-size motorcycles, recently took the wraps off its new creation, the RSS Street 125. With its funky neo-retro styling and 125cc displacement, it locks horns with bikes like the Yamaha XSR125 and Husqvarna Svartpilen 125.
The RSS Street 125’s highlight is its design which truly stands out. At the front, it sports a small circular headlamp surrounded by an aluminium-finished bezel and topped by a tiny flyscreen. The bulbous fuel tank makes up for the majority of visual mass and it blends neatly with the chapped, minimalistic tail section. Lending it a dash of visual modernity are alloy wheels and blacked-out engine casing.
On the feature front, although the colour TFT instrument cluster and full-LED lighting are impressive, there isn’t anything more to write home about. As for the engine, it’s a beginner-friendly motorcycle with a puny 125cc, liquid-cooled mill that produces around 14bhp and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The hardware package, meanwhile, comprises 17-inch wheels, telescopic forks, a monoshock, and a single disc at both ends.
In the UK, Lexmoto has introduced the RSS Street 125 in two colours - Crimson Red and Tuscany Yellow with a price tag of £2,900 (approximately Rs 2.94 lakh). Although Lexmoto will not enter India anytime soon, those who want a performance-oriented 125cc motorcycle here can consider the KTM 125 Duke.
