- Ultraviolette F77 Space Edition priced at Rs 5.60 lakh
- Limited to 10 units
- Sold out in 90 seconds
Bangalore-based electric motorcycle manufacturer, Ultraviolette launched the F77 in a limited-edition avatar recently. The motorcycle, called the F77 Space Edition, was limited to just 10 units with a price tag of Rs 5.60 lakh; Rs 1.05 lakh costlier than the F77 Recon model.
Now, with bookings opened on 22 August, Ultraviolette has reported that all units of the F77 Space Edition have been sold out in just 90 seconds. The special motorcycle was a tribute to India's Chandrayaan 3 space odyssey. And to justify its limited-edition tag, the motorcycle gets aerospace-grade materials in its construction. These include 7075-grade aluminium and an aluminium key. It also comes adorned in a white paint scheme with orange highlights and subtle blue graphics in tune with the space theme.
In addition to this, the Ultraviolette F77 Space Edition also comes with advanced aircraft grade that includes fail-proof systems for the battery and a 9-axis IMU that measures roll, pitch and yaw. Other than that, the F77 Space Edition uses a more powerful electric motor that offers 40.5bhp and 100Nm of peak torque. This has also led to a change in the 0-100kmph acceleration time. The F77 Space Edition claims to do it in 7.8 seconds, while the Recon does it in eight seconds and the original in 8.3 seconds. It comes fitted with a 10kWh battery pack offering an IDC range of 307km like the Recon variant but offers a higher 152kmph top-speed.
