- Ultraviolette F77 e-bike India debut next year
- Claims to be India’s high-performance electric bike
Ultraviolette, a Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler company has announced the launch of its first product in India next month.
The F77 is the first e-bike from the company which is being positioned as India’s first high performance electric motorcycle. A prototype of this bike was spotted testing a few months ago. According to the company’s official website, the F77 features a trellis frame that will house the battery pack in place on a conventional engine and the 25kW electric motor in position of the gearbox. The motor has a torque output of 450Nm. Due to this, the bike can do 0-60kmph in three seconds.
The motorcycle will be offered with three riding modes – Insane, Sport and Eco. It also comes with regenerative braking that recharges the battery on braking so that you don’t lose out on that power. In terms of features, the bike will be equipped with all the necessary features. It will also get ‘Find my bike’ function that detects the location of the bike in case you have forgotten where you had parked.
The company plans to setup its own charging infrastructure in the cities where it plans to sell its products. At home, it will setup charging points for each of its customers. It’s still not clear if the customers need to pay additional money for that. All these details are expected to be revealed next month.
