The DSR Adventure 200 is likely to arrive in India sometime soon. So, here's a brief heads-up about what to expect from the upcoming bike from UM.
Design
The DSR Adventure 200, being an adventure-touring bike follows the styling lines of the segment. The bike gets a secondary mudguard, high-mounted exhaust, engine sump guard, and engine guard. It also gets a tall-windscreen and luggage rack at the rear that would make it more touring capable. While the DSR is a fairly uncomplicated design, the triangular headlamp and sharp tank extensions add to its appeal.
Engine
The bike is powered by a 196cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 16bhp at 8500rpm and 16Nm of torque at 6500rpm. It is mated to a six-speed transmission and final chain drive.
Cycle parts
UM is expected to launch the DSR Adventure only in a touring variant. The bike gets a low seat height of 780mm and will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends shod with tubeless, dual-sport rubber. It is suspended from inverted front forks with long travel and a rear monoshock. Meanwhile braking is looked after by a 265mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear with a single-channel ABS unit. The DSR offers a decent fuel tank capacity of 14-litres.
Pricing
The UM DSR Adventure 200 will retail at Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will be offered in four colours- blue, olive green, red and black with a top-box and panniers as additional accessory.
