UM Motorcycles has showcased the DSR Hypersport at the 2017 NADA Auto Show in Kathmandu, Nepal. Being a supermoto bike, the DSR Hypersport is targeted at an urban audience.
With a tall riding stance, long travel suspension, upswept exhaust and other minimalistic bodywork, the DSR Hypersport looks like a dirt bike for the road. It is available with three engine options with displacement ranging from 125cc to 223cc. The motorcycle which was showcased at the NADA Auto Show is powered by a 223cc single-cylinder air and oil-cooled engine, delivering 16bhp and 17.7Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed transmission, and it rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.
While the DSR Hypersport is a supermoto, UM also offers a dual-sport motorcycle with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels. Such bikes are highly practical for the Indian roads and is also perfect to satisfy the needs of the adventure enthusiasts. With the entry-level adventure segment seeing a lot of activity lately, the DSR should make for a very interesting addition to the company’s Indian portfolio.
