UM has increased the prices of its range in India. The Sports S is now pricier by Rs 3,374 while those buying the Renegade Commando will have to shell out an additional Rs 2,173.
This move comes just two months after the manufacturer had reduced prices of its range to pass on the benefits with the introduction of GST. With the revision in prices, the Renegade Commando retails at Rs 1,76,091 while the Sports S is priced at Rs 1,71,654 (both ex-showroom, Delhi). While the Renegade Commando is a retro cruiser, the Sports S has a sporty flavour to it. Both these bikes are powered by a 280cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine, delivering 24.8bhp and 23N of torque through a six-speed gearbox.
Although UM’s current range only consists of two motorcycles, the company is planning to expand its range this year. While the Renegade Classic has been confirmed for the Indian market for this year, the company is also considering launching an adventure touring motorcycle to compete against the Royal Enfield Himalayan and other similar upcoming bikes.
