UM is going to launch the Renegade Classic and the Mojave edition in India on 2 September. Going up against the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Thunderbird 350, these bikes will be positioned above the Renegade Commando.
The UM Renegade Classic was first unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo, last year. It gets the look of a swanky retro cruiser thanks to the liberal use of chrome, pinstripes on the tank and body panels and a laidback riding position. The Renegade Classic will also get an exhaustive accessory list to improve the customisation quotient. The Mojave on the other hand, is a special edition version of the Renegade Commando. It gets a matte desert sand colour and a leather saddlebag to set it apart from a standard Commando.
Powering the Renegade Classic and the Mojave edition is a 279cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine that delivers 24.8bhp and 23Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. The motorcycles will be produced at Lohia Auto's Kashipur facility in Uttarakhand.
