You read it right! The official bookings and the deliveries for the UM Renegade Classic have been postponed to 2017.
The Renegade Classic is the most expensive UM bike in India at Rs 1.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and was launched at the 2016 Auto Expo. At the launch, the company mentioned about the bookings of this bike which began immediately after the launch. However, the company has decided to push the official bookings and deliveries to 2017. We gathered this from our conversation with Rajeev Mishra, CEO, UM Motorcycles.
While there were no official reasons given to us on this development, we believe that the company wants to focus only on the Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sport S for now. So as per the new plan, the bookings for the Renegade Classic will begin from January 2017 and the deliveries from April 2017.
