The Renegade Sport S is the most affordable UM bike one can buy in India. Priced at Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), UM wants to disrupt the premium cruiser market, which is dominated by the Royal Enfields. The bookings for this bike has just begun, however, the deliveries will start only by April once the showrooms are opened. Meanwhile, checkout the picture gallery of the Renegade Sport S.
The design of the Renegade Sport S reminds us of the Suzuki M1800. Especially, the headlamp and the tail section reminds us of the big cruiser.
Powering this bike is a 279cc single-cylinder water-cooled engine. This engine produces 25bhp at 8500rpm and peak torque of 21.8Nm at 7000rpm.
The fit and finish of the Renegade Sport S is pretty good. The paint quality too, is appreciable for a bike at this price point.
The instrument cluster looks decent. It sports speedometer, tachometer and a small LCD screen that displays trip meter and fuel level.
For now, the Renegade Sport S will be sold in a one-seating configuration. A plastic cowl does the job on the pillion seat.
The front wheel has telescopic suspension while the rear wheel has dual shock absorbers. With a fuel tank capacity of 18 litres, the Renegade Sport S could go for close to 500kms before heading to a petrol pump.
