UM will launch three bikes in the next few months. As per our sources, the three bikes are the Renegade Classic, Renegade Mojave and street version of the Sport S.
The Renegade Classic was officially launched at the 2016 Auto Expo, however, the company is yet to begin the bookings and the deliveries of the cruiser. The delay in the launch is because the company wanted to improve the overall quality of the bikes. The first set of Renegade and the Commando S had quality issues but the company did pledge to improve it.
The second bike in question is the Renegade Mojave which is based on the Commando. The Mojave will get matte brown paint scheme with seat and saddle bags matching the desert theme. The inspiration for this version is clearly from the Royal Enfield Desert Storm edition which is a high-selling variant. The street version of the Sport S will be dipped in matte black. This version would lose the headlamp cluster and would get something that will match the street character and reveal a bit of the headlamp assembly.
All the three upcoming bikes will be powered by the same 280cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This motor generates 24.8bhp and maximum torque of 21.8Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The engine will be BS-IV compliant too.
UM is currently in the process of determining the exact launch schedule for these bikes but all three will be launched before August 2017.
