- 40 Benelli, Hyosung bikes to be auctioned tomorrow
- No warranties applied to these bikes
DSK Motowheels – the company that was responsible to sell Benelli and Hyosung motorcycles in India ran into financial troubles, due to which, it had to sell of these brands to other companies. However, DSK Motowheels was still in possession of many motorcycles which is now being auctioned by Union Bank of India.
There are 40 motorcycles that will go under the hammer and the e-auction notice has been put up on bankauctions.com. Each of the bikes have a reserve price and the bidding will consider the base price. According to the list shared, the lower priced motorcycle is the Benelli TNT 135 at Rs 1.05 lakhs and the highest priced is the Trek Amazon at Rs 7.57 lakhs. There are some scooters in the list as well, along with some cruisers from Hyosung.
The bikes and scooters that will be going under the hammer are a mix of test and homologation bikes. In fact, a few of these motorcycles were never dispatched to the dealerships. Unfortunately, some of these bikes can’t be registered due to lack of ABS. But if these bikes have already been registered by the company, it is possible to re-register by transferring the ownership. Plus, one of the conditions set by the bank is that these auctioned motorcycles won’t be eligible for any kind of warranties. These are some very important points, and if the bank really wants to sell these bikes, it needs to bring down the prices by at least 50 per cent.
