- Spotted testing in India
- Prototype revealed back in 2020
- Expected launch in late 2023
The 300-400cc motorcycle market in India has grown substantially over the last few years. From ADVs to supersports, brands have launched ample models in the said category. Hero MotoCorp too has its eye set on the same segment and its upcoming 300cc ADV and supersports have now been spotted testing in India.
The spyshots are from one of the test runs conducted for the two test mules in the northern region. The ADV’s prototype was unveiled back in 2020 and its test mule has a similar crankcase as well as the frame tube. Although the displacement figures are unknown for now, we expect it to be powered by a 300cc or slightly larger motor. The supersports too will use the same engine but with a different tune.
The ADV test mule features spoked wheels (21-inch front and 17-inch rear) with a front and rear disc brake setup. Meanwhile, the suspension setup comprises USD front forks and a monoshock at the rear. The supersport too appears to ride on USD front forks and monoshock although less travel for obvious reasons. It’s equipped with a front and rear disc brake setup and gets road-biased tyres.
Both test mules appear in the early stages of development. We expect Hero to unveil the new offerings by late 2023.
