- To be powered by a 799cc parallel-twin motor
- Likely to retain the same design as the 752S
- Weighs 12kg less than the 752S
Details of Benelli’s upcoming naked motorcycle have been leaked from the patent filings in the Chinese market. Here’s everything you should know about it.
The upcoming Benelli naked bike could be powered by a 799cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor with the output rated at 96bhp. It looks similar to the 752S powered by a 754cc motor dishing out 75bhp and 67Nm. Furthermore, the upcoming model is also likely to weigh 12kg less than the 752S’s 220kg weight.
The design bit is likely to be retained and so are the underpinnings. It’ll be suspended on 50mm Marzocchi USD forks and KYB rear shock. The 320mm dual front discs and 260mm rear single disc braking setup with dual-channel ABS is also likely to be carried over. The leaked documents also reveal that Benelli will equip the bike with 17-inch wheels wrapped in 120/70 front and 180/55 rear tyres.
Considering the bike is still in its early stages of development, we expect Benelli to reveal the bike sometime next year. As of now, the bikemaker only has a handful of models in its portfolio for India.
