- Could be a 125cc bike for India or 150cc model for the global market
- Two test mules spotted with dual disc and single disc setup
- Appeared ready for production
Bajaj has been working on one of its upcoming commuter motorcycles, likely based on the current N model line (N250, N160). Its test mules have been spotted again revealing some new details.
The bodywork remains unchanged compared to the previous test bikes. Though covered in camouflage, the bike reveals its youthful styling with a sharp headlight and sporty bodywork. However, unlike the previous model’s single-piece seat, the latest test bike had a split seat setup.
If Bajaj is aiming at the global market, the new test mule could be the N150 and launched overseas. That said, the bike could also be the upcoming Pulsar N125 and be launched in India later on. In either case, the Chakan-based manufacturer will likely develop a new motor as it did for the current N models.
Bajaj is likely to offer the new Pulsar in two variants: front disc/rear drum and front disc/rear disc. If it’s a 150cc offering, we expect Bajaj to Bajaj to equip it with dual-channel ABS while a 125cc model would get a single-channel ABS setup. Besides, it rides on conventional telescopic front forks and a monoshock setup.
The bike appears to be ready for production and could be launched sometime later this year or early 2023 in India. For a 125cc offering, an asking price of Rs 1.10 - 1.15 lakh can be expected.
