Indian electric two-wheeler brand, Bounce is set to launch its first electric scooter. This new scooter, which will be launched very soon, will be called Bounce Infinity. The company has confirmed via a press announcement that the pre-bookings for the new Bounce Infinity will begin soon while the deliveries are expected to commence by January 2022.
Apart from confirming the pre-booking and delivery details, the company has also revealed several features that this new electric scooter will receive. For starters, the new Bounce Infinity will feature a removable Li-ion battery. Moreover, Bounce is offering the ‘Battery as a service’ option. Through this service, customers have the option to purchase the Bounce Infinity electric scooter at an affordable price tag without the battery. The owner can use Bounce’s battery swapping network instead. Customers pay for the battery swaps, whenever they exchange an empty battery with a fully-charged one at the swapping network.
The company also confirmed via its press statement that it is building a wide battery-swapping network that will serve its retail customers and its ride-sharing business. The new Bounce Infinity will be manufactured at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. The plant has a capacity to manufacture 1,80,000 scooters per year. The company is also planning to set up another plant in southern India.
