- Could get CB styling
- Likely to feature five-spoke alloys
- To get drum brakes at both ends
Honda India has posted another teaser of its upcoming 100cc commuter motorcycle that’ll rival the Hero Splendor. The new image reveals quite some information about the bike. Here’s what we know now.
The upcoming Honda bike could get CB styling. This means it could get a curvy headlight and fuel tank, similar to what the Shine packs. Moreover, it’ll feature stickers all over instead of 3D badges for cost savings. The teaser also reveals a probable single-piece seat and a grabrail for added convenience.
Apart from that, its hardware will comprise telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks, while the braking setup includes a front and rear drum unit mounted on five-spoke alloy wheels. Even though the engine specifications are yet to be revealed, we presume it to be a 100cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor with frugality in focus. And since it's bound to be an affordable motorcycle oriented towards the mass market, the features list too could be concise. We expect it to make close to 8bhp of maximum output and 8Nm of peak torque.
Along with the Hero Splendor, the upcoming 100cc Honda commuter will also rival the TVS Radeon and Bajaj Platina in our market. Its official launch is slated for tomorrow, so stay tuned to BikeWale for more details.
