- New teaser reveals the digital console
- Will be introduced in the 150-180cc segment
- Launch details unavailable yet
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has released the third teaser for its upcoming product in our market. Previously, the Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer showcased the taillight and the fuel tank of this upcoming motorcycle. Now, the company has revealed its digital instrument, giving a detailed look at the readouts available.
Apart from the regular, ride-related readouts such as the speedometer, tachometer, and trip meters, this console will also display a gear position indicator, a service reminder, side-stand warning indicator, average speed, and a digital clock. Further, it may also display additional information such as the average fuel economy and distance to empty. These, however, have not been confirmed in the teaser footage.
Notably, the company has still remained tightlipped about the launch details of this motorcycle. As reported earlier, the motorcycle is expected to arrive in the 150-180cc segment of the Indian market. It will most likely use one of the two existing engines from the company’s portfolio. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India currently offers two products in this segment – Unicorn 160 and CB Hornet 2.0.
The output figures, too, are likely to remain similar to that of the existing products. The 162.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine on the Honda Unicorn 160 makes 12.73bhp and 14Nm. Meanwhile, the 184.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor on the Hornet 2.0 is tuned to draw 17.03bhp and 16.1Nm of peak torque.
The motorcycle should arrive in our market ahead of the high-demand festive season. We expect the prices to range between Rs. 1.05-1.15 lakh (ex-showroom).
