LML Electric has made key announcements about its India plans. The company has announced a strategic partnership with Saera Electric Auto, a two-wheeler producer formerly manufacturing for Harley Davidson. LML Electric will use Saera’s facility in Bawal, Haryana to produce its upcoming electric vehicles.
The company said in a press statement that it intends to build a future-ready manufacturing facility using Saera's technology and processes. This is the first of many steps for LML to transition into a 100 per cent ‘Make in India’ company by the end of 2025. The manufacturing plant in Haryana spans 2,17,800 square feet and has a capacity of 18,000 units per month.
Speaking about the partnership, Dr Yogesh Bhatia, CEO, LML, said that the company aspires to create a brand that is 100 per cent localised. While the company has revealed its manufacturing plans, it is yet to reveal any details about its upcoming products.
