- Spotted testing overseas
- Gets cosmetic tweaks at the front and rear
- Looks ready for production
The Husqvarna Svartpilen and the Vitpilen’s design have been long in the tooth. But that’s likely to change very soon as a test mule of the Svartpilen 125 has been spotted. Here’s what’s different about it.
At the first glance, the test mule is equipped with a new LED bezel topped by a new small cowl. Below it, there’s a thin radiator cover too. Overall, the neo-retro theme has remained unchanged. The test mule is equipped with the same fuel tank and side panels.
We expect the motor to remain unchanged. It’s the same 125cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder unit used in the KTM 125 Duke with the output rated at 15bhp and 12Nm. The 17-inch spoked wheels too are likely to be retained with the dual-purpose rubber around. That said, the rear end of the test mule is equipped with a conventional fender as compared to the tyre hugger setup on the current model.
The front USD forks and rear monoshock will remain unaltered along with the front and rear disc brake setup. Considering the text mule seems closer to production, you can expect Husqvarna to reveal the bike soon. However, its Indian debut is still a while away.
