TVS Motor Company and Norton Motorcycles recently made key announcements about the future of the British marque. In the press announcement, the two-wheeler brand confirmed that the updated Norton V4SS will be launched very soon. Sudarshan Venu, Joint Managing Director of TVS Motors, said that Norton has returned to a firm footing and made marked improvements to engineering and product quality, which will be seen in the updated V4SS that will be launched soon. The Indian launch details are not available yet.
The Norton V4SS is currently listed on the company’s international website, and potential buyers can register their interest by filling an online form. The motorcycle will be available in limited numbers, and Norton will only produce 200 units of the V4 SS. The exclusive model, which has been developed at the Isle of Man TT, features carbon-fibre bodywork. The feature list includes a twin-pod headlight, LED blinkers, a full fairing, a single-sided swingarm, clip-on handlebars, and a rider-only saddle.
Mechanical specifications include an all new 1200cc, 72-degree V4 engine that produces a healthy 200bhp of maximum power and 130Nm of peak torque. The hardware on the motorcycle includes race developed front and rear shock absorbers sourced from Ohlins. The braking setup comprises twin rotors at the front and a single disc at the back – both grabbed by Brembo-sourced callipers.
