MotoGP racer Valentino Rossi took part in 2012 Monza Rally Show last weekend. Driving the Team VR46 Racing's WRC-Spec Ford Fiesta with co-driver Carlo Cassina, Rossi won both the Stage Rally and the Master Show.
Rossi managed to finish the race 2.8 seconds ahead of the seasoned racer Dino Capello, followed by Piero Longhi in third place who trailed by 54.4 seconds. In the Master Show, where drivers go head-to-head on the famed Italian track, Rossi came to the start line with the fastest heat times on the grid. In this too, Rossi had a tough fight with Capello to clinch the title.
Rossi believes that a win in rally will help him with 2013 MotoGP title hunt. Rossi has previously won the same event in 2006 and 2007.
