Italian two-wheeler brand, Vespa has surpassed the 19 million production milestone. The company, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, announced that its 19 millionth vehicle was GTS 300 in 75th Anniversary Special Edition. The vehicle was assembled at the company’s Pontedera plant.
The special edition variants include the Vespa GTS (125cc and 300cc) and the Vespa Primavera (50cc, 125cc, and 150cc) that will be available throughout 2021. Both models feature a special yellow metallic bodywork (metallic Giallo 75th colour) and they boast a 75 number on the side panels and the mudguard. The special edition models also get large circular leather bag mounted on the tail.
Vespa offers its products in 83 countries across all the continents. Vespa products are manufactured out of three production sites – Pontedera (for Europe, the Americas and all the western markets), Vinh Phuc (for Vietnam, which serves the local market and the Far East), and Baramati (for Indian and Nepalese markets). The company manufactured over 1.8 million vehicles in the last ten years.
