Motorcycling enthusiasts in the country who feel that the Indian motorcycle range is too commonplace or fancy a more exclusive motorcycle can now approach Indian dealerships to get themselves a Victory motorcycle.
As both Indian Motorcycles and Victory are a part of the same parent company – Polaris, many models share a common platform. As launching both brands together might cause cannibalism within the same group, Polaris has so far refrained from launching the Victory range through official sources. However it now turns out that a customer wishing to buy a Victory motorcycle can procure one from Indian dealerships.
Victory currently has 12 motorcycles spread across four different segments in its portfolio. The Indian dealerships do not have prices ready with them and it can take a day for them to get an exact quotation including all the custom duties, taxes and logistics. Though the Indian dealerships cannot offer warranty for obvious reasons, they are well equipped to service the Victory range, as these models share their underpinnings with the Indian range.
Understandably, Indian Motorcycles has refused to give an official confirmation regarding this arrangement. However all things considered, this deal might not seem very lucrative for the impatient ones, as it can take anywhere between one month to 45 days for the motorcycle to land up on Indian shores. An Indian motorcycle on the other hand, can be delivered within 15 days to a month of the customer booking the motorcycle, depending upon the model.
