- WMoto Xtreme 150i adventure scooter enters Malaysia
- Features adventure-centric design and components
- Competes against the Honda ADV150
WMoto, a Malaysian two-wheeler brand, has launched the new 2021 Xtreme 150i scooter in its home country. While it’s essentially an urban scooter, its design and components look ready for some adventure as well.
The Xtreme 150i looks quite similar to the Honda ADV150 with rugged and muscular styling. Its body panels boast some sharp and angular lines along with deep creases. The rounded LED headlamp is accompanied by a tall windscreen that’s adjustable and an exposed motorcycle-like handlebar. From the images, the Xtreme looks comfortable with a spacious stepped seat and a dual footrest provision.
WMoto has also equipped the adventure scooter with a bunch of useful features. There’s a large negative LCD console, a USB charging point, a 12V power outlet, and an 11litre fuel tank. It also gets a dual channel ABS setup as standard.
Coming to the powertrain, propelling the scooter is a 149.3cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out 12.2bhp of power and 11.8Nm of peak torque. It rides on large 14-inch alloy wheels that are shod with block-pattern tyres. Damping duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and an adjustable monoshock. Braking is taken care of by a single disc at both ends.
In Malaysia, the WMoto Xtreme 150i is priced at RM 9,588 (approximately Rs 1.70 lakh). Unfortunately, it won’t come to India anytime soon as it will be too expensive a package for our market.
