- Xiaomi Ninebot C30 launched in China
- Offers a range of 34km
- Unlikely to arrive in India soon
Xiaomi-owned Ninebot has launched the C30 electric scooter in China at USD 514; which translates to around Rs 38,000.
The scooter uses an underbone frame with minimal panels and offers a small, single-seat. Ninebot has fitted the C30 with LED lighting for the headlamp as well as the tail lamp, which is positioned below a luggage rack. While the manufacturer has not revealed exact specifications, the C30 has a top speed of 25kmph and a range of 35km on a full charge.
It uses a removable lithium-ion battery that weighs 6kg. Moreover, the Xiaomi Ninebot C30 also comes with pedals just in case it runs out of juice. Suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, a disc brake at the front and drum at the rear handle braking.
While the C30 is only available in China as of now, it will be launched in the USA and European markets in the coming months. However, it is unlikely to make its way to India anytime soon. Nevertheless, given that Xiaomi retails most of its electronics here and the affordable pricing of the Ninebot C30, we can expect the small electric scooter to find its way to our country in later years.
