- Both 125cc and 200cc model introduced
- Feature Aprilia’s MotoGP-inspired graphics
- Unveiled in the international market
After introducing the SR GT line back in 2021, Aprilia has now launched it in the MotoGP replica form as well. Both the 125cc and the 200cc models have received the new visual update and here’s what the Italian maxi-scooter now gets.
For 2023, the Aprilia SR GT 125 and the SR GT 200 boast new liveries that have been inspired by the firm’s MotoGP race bike. So, there’s black painted bodywork with red stripes and an ‘Aprilia’ livery running through the side profile. Apart from that, the scooter(s) look identical to the base models and feature an aggressive bodywork with a tall stance. The design looks sharp and the muscular panels make the SR GT look quite youthful too. It features a three-piece LED headlight topped by a smoked visor, a split seat setup and a two-piece grab rail.
Powering the SR GT is a 125cc singe-cylinder motor that makes 14.2bhp and 12Nm. Meanwhile, the SR GT 200 packs a 174cc mill dishing out 17.4bhp and 16.5Nm. Both the scooters are liquid-cooled and get a CVT gearbox.
On the feature front, the SR twins come with LED illumination all over and a fully digital console. The latter packs a host of readouts like the speedometer, tripmeter, odometer, tachometer, fuel level, and more. The construction too is similar and Aprilia has equipped the 125 and 200 with a double cradle chassis. It’s suspended on 33mm telescopic front forks and dual rear shock with preload adjustability. As for the braking hardware, there’s the 260mm front disc and the 220mm rear disc with a combined braking system.
As of now, Aprilia India only has the SR and the SXR lines on sale in India. Moreover, the brand is soon to bring its latest offering, the RS 457 too here.
