- E01 e-scooter to go into production
- Will retain design from concept
- Likely to be unveiled in October
Yamaha is planning to launch the production version of the E01 – a cool looking electric scooter concept that was showcased to the world in 2019.
The company has already registered the E01 name, making us believe that the production model will be called that. Plus, a leaked picture shows that the production model would look like. According to this picture, the E01 will retain majority of the design and mechanical attributes of the concept, but the styling has been toned down – something we always see when the a production goes from concept to production.
The major changes seen on this production model is at the tail section. The grab rails are integrated and the seat is smaller and different. A lot of focus has also gone in maximising under seat storage. The electric motor is mounted slightly above and behind the front sprocket.
We can expect the Japanese brand to reveal more about this scooter around October and is likely to launch this EV early next year.
