Yamaha has filed two new applications to register names for its upcoming two production electric scooters. The company is planning to use E01 and E05 names for e-scooters.
The Japanese brand had unveiled two electric scooter concepts in last Tokyo Motor Show. The E01 is a 125cc ICE equivalent whereas the E05 comes with a battery swappable technology – something that the brand already does in Taiwan.
These e-scooters are expected to hit European market in the next few months and when it does, we can expect the market to response well as these scooters are good looking and also churns out decent performance.
The Indian arm of Yamaha has also been working on electric scooters, but we can expect a budget no non-sense vehicle from Yamaha as it plans to chase numbers.
