The Yamaha FJ1300A tourer has been around for almost a decade and has been selling in decent numbers without any major changes. The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has finally decided to overhaul the bike with up-to-date technology and a few styling tweaks.
The FJ1300A now gets the electronic package from the R1 with three-way adjustable throttle mapping, traction control and cruise control. The design changes include more cohesive and aero dynamic front fairing with a new electronically adjustable windscreen. The cosmetic updates also include new LED DRLs to keep up with the times.
The only other alteration is to the suspension, which now has a new aluminum piston rod and plunger for better ride/handling balance. The FJ1300A retails at around USD 16,000 in the international markets before tax and is not expected to make its India debut any time soon.
