Yamaha India to unveil new electric scooter next month?

Yamaha India has sent a ‘Block Your Date’ invite to most of its dealers. The date in question is 11th April, approximately one month from now.  

The invite says that Yamaha plans to showcase a stylish, sporty and an exciting new future with Yamaha. While the terms like ‘exciting new future’ makes us incline towards an entry to the world of electric-vehicles, it may also mean something else. With such texts, Yamaha could be trying to create a hype around the product.  

As of now, we don’t have a lot of information around this teaser, but we will try to get this as early as possible. Recently, the company stopped sending the MT-15s to its dealers as a facelifited model is expected to be launched soon. However, we don’t think this invite has to do with the R1-5 sibling.
