Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha has unveiled a concept motorcycle called “Concept Moto Cage Six” based on XJ6 series. This bike was first showcased at the international motorcycle show, INTERMOT 2012. Based on the XJ6, the Yamaha Moto Concept Cage Six is the first motorcycle that has been specifically designed for stunting. Yamaha has created a new segment altogether with this concept offering.
The motorcycle has all-neon colour running over its body and frame. It also has front axle footrests, a reinforced swingarm and four crash pads. The gearing and sprockets have been adjusted for wheelies.
Professional stunters always customise their stunt motorcycles by taking off the fairing, headlamps, tail lamp, turn signals and rear mud guard because not only does it get in the way of stunting, these parts invariably get damaged when the motorcycle gives in to gravity. With Yamaha creating this segment, the hassle of finding the right crash guards and sprockets is eliminated. What needs to seen is whether Yamaha will keep this bike tagged as concept or will they make it available to public, given the fact that it cannot be road-legal.
