-Showcased in the Call of the Blue 4.0 India campaign
-Launch expected in early 2025
-Has a 155cc, liquid-cooled motor
The Yamaha Nmax 155 maxi-scooter is expected to be launched in India in a few months. Speculation suggests the scooter may be launched in early 2025 but the possibility of Yamaha throwing a festive season surprise this year cannot be ruled out.
The Yamaha Nmax 155 was showcased as part of Yamaha’s Call of the Blue 4.0 India campaign. Yamaha had also showcased the scooter at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo earlier to gauge customer response. There was a lot of interest in scooter, especially given the way the Yamaha Aerox 155 has been lapped up by enthusiasts.
The Yamaha Nmax 155 presents itself as a more practical alternative to the Aerox 155. Its maxi-scooter design, large dimensions and spacious seating should appeal to buyers looking for a new, stylish scooter that packs a punch.
Speaking of punch, the Nmax 155 is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor, which is also seen on the Yamaha Aerox 155, R15 V4, and the MT-15. The engine produces 14.9bhp and 13.5Nm and comes paired with a CVT unit.
It has an underbone chassis that is suspended by a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. Expect the suspension to be tuned to offer more comfort than the stiff suspension of the Aerox 155.
The Yamaha Nmax 155 is expected to be priced around Rs 1.6 lakh to Rs. 1.7 lakh mark. It will go up against the upcoming Hero Xoom 160.
