- Gets cosmetic changes with a new fascia
- Powered by the same 125cc motor
- Benefits from new features too
Yamaha has launched the latest iteration of its smallest supersport offering for the international market, the R125. The baby supersport has received a host of updates for its latest generation and here’s what it offers now.
For 2022, the Yamaha R125 gets a new fascia, similar to the one on the R15 V4 and the new R7. So, it gets the same central projector headlamp flanked by two LED DRLs. The sharp and race-track-ready bodywork remains unchanged.
Powering the Yamaha R125 is a single-cylinder 125cc engine with the output rated at 14.8bhp and 11.5Nm. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox and owners can also fit an optional quickshifter. On the feature front, it now sports a TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity. The R125 also gets traction control for added safety. The hardware configuration comprises USD front forks, monoshock, disc brakes at both ends and alloy wheels.
The prices for the Yamaha R125 are yet to be announced in the European market. That said, it won’t be launched in India anytime soon. So, the only affordable Yamaha supersport currently on sale in India is the YZF-R15 V4.
