- Has unveiled the Neo's and E01 electric scooter concept
- The E01 will make its global debut by 2025
Yamaha has revealed its plans regarding the electric mobility and taken the wraps off its upcoming EV offerings. Along with the Neo's e-scooter, Yamaha also displayed the E01 prototype. It's the same model that was spotted testing in Japan back in January.
The E01 was first showcased at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show but is still faraway from heading to the production line. Yamaha aims to debut it globally by 2025 and till then the e-scooter will go through various tests. The final specs will be based on the all the trial and error conducted through the years before the scooter makes it to the mass market.
The design could be youth oriented, to say the least. And, it'll serve as an equivalent of 125cc ICE scooter.
Yamaha has been working on battery sharing platform since 2019 and we expect the same to be offered for its future EVs. We expect Yamaha to enter the Indian electric two-wheeler market by 2025 or earlier.
