- The test mule seems to be equipped with radar-based cruise control
- The bike could also get a full TFT display
- No mechanical changes are expected
Yamaha's Tracer 9 GT has been spotted testing again in Europe. Set to be updated with a radar system, the Japanese ADV will use it for cruise control. Not to mention, the latest spyshots reveal more details about it.
Apart from the radar-based cruise control, Yamaha will also update the upcoming Tracer 9 GT with a TFT display. The latter will be a much-welcomed update to the current model's (sold overseas) split display. That said, the test mule doesn't appear to be equipped with a rear sensor which means the radar system wouldn't be a very advanced unit.
The 2023 Yamaha Tracer 9 GT doesn't seem to get any other updates. It'll likely be powered by the same motor with identical output as before and gets the same suspension and braking hardware too.
The latest test mule seems to be production-ready and could be unveiled at this year's EICMA and launched in early 2023. However, Yamaha isn't likely to launch in India anytime soon. But if you are looking for bigger so similar sized ADVs here, BMW, Ducati, Triumph and Kawasaki could be your go to brands.
