- New maxi-scooter gets big upgrades
- Equipped with full-colour TFT display
- Launched in Japan
Yamaha has taken the wraps off the 2024 version of its most famous maxi-scooter – Tmax 560. This scooter is touted to be one of the first products to create the maxi-scooter segment.
For the New Year, the Japanese brand decided it give a massive upgrade to make it more practical and enticing for its consumers. In the features section, the new Tmax 560 now gets a full-colour TFT display, traction control system, cruise control, keyless ignition and a navigation system as well. There are also heated seats and grips on this scooter – something that is usually not seen in scooters.
The Tmax 560 was always known for its practicality and the new version carries forwards that legacy. This scooter gets a lot of under-seat storage, the seats are wide and comfortable– even for the pillion. For touring purposes, the rider has the option to install saddlebags or a top case. Powering this Tmax 560 is a 47bhp 562cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that offers good performance in the city as well as the highways.
The new Yamaha Tmax 560 has gone on sale in Japan and will soon be available in the European market. Sadly, this scooter won’t come to India anytime soon as there’s no market for such expensive scooters.
