- New Zuma 125 scooter unveiled
- Gets rugged off-road design
- Engine now gets VVA
Yamaha has taken the wraps off its new scooter – the 2022 Zuma 125. This new scooter has received major aesthetics and mechanical upgrades.
For 2022, the Japanese brand has given the Zuma 125 a more off-road utilitarian and rugged look. It is clear from these aspects that Yamaha wanted to create a scooter that looks unique and has the ability to turn heads. That’s why the scooter is equipped with things like large angular front fender, fat off-road tyres, large headlamps and rugged tail rack.
In terms of features, the company claim that the rider can easily store one large full face helmet in the storage space. There’s also two helmet hangers provided. The front storage compartment has a USB charger as standard. The instrument cluster is full LCD.
The new Zuma 125 continues to get the same 125cc single-cylinder liquid cooled motor but gets a revised bore and stroke. This motor also uses Yamaha’s VVA tech to change the valve timing at different engine speeds. Yamaha claims that the fuel economy of this new scooter has increased by a decent number.
The Zuma 125 will go on sale in US very soon. This scooter won’t come to India for two simple reasons – it will be extremely expensive and we already have the Ray ZR Street Rally.
